Veritas Divorce Coaching

Navigating the Uncertainties of Divorce and Life After with Clairity and Resilience

Logical and Honest Divorce & Post-Divorce Coaching

Let’s face it—divorce is messy. A lot of couples start out saying, ‘We’re going to keep it friendly and do what’s best for the kids.’ And while that’s a great intention, the reality is that feelings get hurt, emotions run high, and the kids end up with front-row seats to a show that they never asked to watch. A divorce coach is like your personal sanity-saver. We help you stay organized, think clearly & rationally, and learn how to communicate with your spouse in a way that keeps things calm and constructive—so you and the kids don’t end up dealing with more stress, whether it’s at home or in the courtroom. Bonus: divorce coaches keep your lawyer focused on the legal stuff, not your emotional rollercoaster, which they ultimately don’t have time for.

Once the dust settles and the ink dries, a post-divorce coach makes it easier to work through what’s next. Whether you’re figuring out how to parent solo, keeping communication with your ex from feeling like a second career, adjusting to the reality of a parenting plan that now runs your calendar, or dealing with your ex’s new partner suddenly showing up at soccer games—post-divorce life is a whole new world. No two situations look exactly the same, but the common thread? It’s not exactly a walk in the park, but with the right support, it doesn’t have to feel like climbing Everest either.

Bottom line? Divorce coaching helps you survive the storm. Post-divorce coaching helps you thrive afterward. It’s like having a navigation system for your life—except this one actually understands what you’re going through.

How was Veritas Born?

My Story

I married my college sweetheart in 2004.

We had our daughter in 2006.

We divorced in 2010.

Fast forward to 2014—our first post-divorce litigation.

Fast forward again to 2018—our second post-divorce litigation.

I had one attorney throughout both sets of litigation, whereas he had two attorneys. I faced endless discovery, mediation, depositions, and finally, a two-day trial in 2019. At the conclusion of our trial, I was granted full custody of our daughter & received 100% of my attorneys’ fees.

No one can truly prepare you for the level of stress, the constant anxiety, and the sleepless nights that this kind of litigation brings—especially when kids are involved.

My two very expensive experiences left me thoroughly educated on every single aspect of how to manage (and not manage) post-divorce life. For instance, I learned that truly understanding my parenting plan was crucial. I learned that I couldn’t despise my ex more than I loved our daughter. And I quickly learned that emotional decisions don’t necessarily equate to good decisions.

From Litigation to Coaching

After my trial was over, my attorney, someone that used an exorbitant amount of tough love with me over a span of five years, asked me if I wanted to come to work for her as her paralegal. While I had zero paralegal experience, I absolutely knew all facets of divorce and post-divorce litigation. My days were generally spent drafting and filing pleadings, keeping my attorney’s calendar, scheduling hearings/depositions, communicating with clients, etc. However, I quickly realized that my favorite part of being a paralegal was connecting with our clients, walking through their stressful worries with them, and giving them all of the emotional support that they needed. Ultimately, this became my passion, which is why I became a Certified Divorce Coach and how Veritas was born.

Coaching Philosophy

I’d love to hear about your goals and how I can help guide you through the emotionally charged situations that come with life after divorce.

However, I do not and will not give you legal advice. That’s what the attorneys are for, and there are plenty of good ones out there to do that.

I also do not provide financial advice (nor do you want me to).

I am merely someone who will tell you, very honestly and with an abundant amount of transparency (and humor), how to positively handle post-divorce life, especially surrounding co-parenting and communication with your ex.

Co-parenting with someone who sees every disagreement as a personal attack is not fun. Annie helped me shift from reacting out of frustration to responding to my ex-husband with more logical and simple texts. She offered practical tools, wisdom that only comes from experience, and humor to remind me I wasn’t alone. Parenting can feel like navigating a maze blindfolded and Annie was the steady voice that helped me find my way through. I am grateful!

Pam W. -Past Client

Connecting with Annie was one of the best decisions I made during my divorce in Williamson County. The process was full of unknowns, especially with children. Annie’s expertise as a previous paralegal and her personal experience gave me clarity during the toughest experience I’ve ever gone through in my life. Her guidance helped me manage the emotional challenges I seemed to face weekly—I truly couldn’t have done it without her.

Diana T.- Past Client

I had zero idea what I was in for after my divorce. I called Annie on the recommendation of my attorney about three weeks after mediation was over. I had never heard of a divorce coach before. Annie was very honest with me and didn’t sugar coat her answers to my questions, which I appreciated. She did not charge a fortune, and I immediately knew she wouldn’t string me along if I didn’t need any more guidance. I would absolutely recommend parents seek out Annie for co-parenting help.”-
